Whatever your lifestyle, there is a lens suited to your activities! About Dr. Lord Dr. Wilburn Lord, Jr. has practiced optometry in private practice since 1977. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and the Southern College of Optometry and has practiced in the Delta for 24 years. He is certified to both diagnose and treat eye diseases and disorders. In 1998, Dr. Lord completed the Southern Diplomat Program and received certification in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He is involved with the Diabetic Initiative in MS and has received additional training in the comanagement of laser vision correction surgery. Dr. Lord is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Contact Lens and Corneal Section, and is President of the Mississippi Optometric Association where he also serves as Chairman of the Third Party Committee. He is a member of Washington County Opportunity Health Advisory Committee, Southern Council of Optometrist, and has been involved with Leadership Washington County and Kellogg's Delta Emerging Leaders Class. He presently serves as treasurer for the Greenville Balloon Festival. Dr. Lord is a member of MS Eye Care, Inc., an optometric service provider to participants of the State and Public School Employees Health Plan. He is also a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, Ms Physician Health Care Network, and United Healthcare.
